The pirate ship
When you arrive in Stockholm we have found the perfect place for you and your crew to spend the few hours during the night when you sleep. Here we also have the registration centre for the Euromeeting.



Af Chapman is one of the most famous landmarks in the city, the fully rigged ship overlooking the Gamla Stan (the Old Town) and the Royal Palace. Today it serves as a first class Hostel and as with many of its guests, af Chapman has journeyed all around the world.
The ship was built in England in 1888 and named Dunboyne. During her first 25 years she carried trade under the British and Norwegian flags and rounded both Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope.

It has recently been renovated from keel to mast. Stay in comfortable cabins on the ship - some of which have been restored back to their original style - or in regular rooms with bunk beds in the 19th century building on Skeppsholmen. This location also has an unusual history - the original building used to serve as firewood storage space for the royal castle in the 18th century.

The Ocean Race Stopover
Yes it´s true, we couldn´t believe it either, but the last leg of the Round the world sailing race - Volvo Ocean Race - will start from Stockholm! The race village will be in front of the Royal Castle, just beside af Chapman! However, the race will start on the 25:th of June and the race village closes on the same day. You just have to come here earlier that week to enjoy the party!

Cabins and Rooms
Available at the ship are 11 of the 2-bedded cabins (22 pirates) and the 3-6 bedded cabins, that can take 75 pirates.
We would prefer if you don't book a 2-bed cabin if you don't bring your princess with you.

In the beautiful house on the docks up to 28 pirates can stay in the 3-6 beddes rooms.

When you register for the adventure under the link 'Sign on' above, you find the possibility to choose what type of cabin or room you would prefer. If you by any chance have any other requests, please let us know as soon as possible and we can discuss the options.

As with most Hostels, sheets are optional at af Chapman since the guests bring this themselves. However, for a small fee this can be arranged upon your arrival.
