Welcome to our website for the service club Round
Table 70 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The year of 2007/08 is now to an end and I have
no words to express the great joy within me when
thinking back to all the teriffic meetings during
the year. I wish to thank all the brothers in
the club for a fantastic year together!
Now I have passed the magic line of 40 years old,
which means that I will become a past member of
RT and no longer be an active member of our club.
This can be hard to face, but fortunately we have
a rather active past members club, so I will probably
joy myself anyway.
Euromeeting in England
We can finally enjoy the summer and take part
in several of the RT-activities that takes place
all around the country during the summer months.
Actually, some of us just came home from the European
RT70 meeting in Grimsby, England - the motherland
of Round Table.
Every year every club in Europe with the same
number, we are RT70, get together in a so called
Euromeeting. At the meeting we decide which country
will host the meeting the following year. This
year England hosted and we were a small group
of brothers, some with wifes, that flew to London
and tried to drive on the "wrong" side
for the first time in life. The drive was 4 hrs
on Friday to Grimsby and again 4 hrs back on Sunday.
The Grimsby club welcomed us with open arms and
a buffé at their Chairmans pub No1. For
the first time in years the Germans were 2 hrs
late!
On Friday night there was a theme-party Cowboys
and Indians with bull-riding, barbeque, wild west
show etc. and I, as the Swedish Chairman, won
the football shoot-out competition.
On Saturday we went out in the english forest
of Robin Hood and climbed very high up in the
trees, an activity called "High tree ropes".
I almost won the competition second to the best
Chairman climbing the tower, but I heard that
the English Chairman saved his strength all day..
Anyway, the gala dinner at Saturday evening was
very nice and on behalf of the Swedish delegates
I would like to thank all of the English brothers
and their wifes/girlfriends for a great weekend!
Next year we will have the great opportunity to
host the Euromeeting 2009 in Stockholm,
Sweden. We also celebrate 50 years as a RT club
and will combine the two happenings. More info
will be presented here very soon.

Welcome to RT70 Mattias Frisk!
It only took him ONE meeting to decide that RT70
was the club in Stockholm for him. Mattias is
a transfer from the south part of Sweden, RT95
Ronneby. He became a member of Round Table Sweden
back in 1995  and
has had the opportunity to arrange and experience
almost all the different meetings that exist within
the RT organisation. We welcome him to the club
with open arms and hope he has some more energy
left to spend the last years in his active RT-life.
Welcome Mattias!
Now I will leave the Chair to our new Chairman,
Magnus Hagdahl, and wish him all the best with
his new board.
