Closing remarks from the Chairman
Now that the year has come to an end, it may be
appropriate with a quick glance in the rearview
mirror and remember the past. And there has been
a lot, so I will settle for a sample. We visited
Käppala sewage plant to learn the relationship
between winter vomiting disease, muddy lakes and
fuel in buses. We folded paper under the ancient
Japanese art known as origami. We tested rum and
listened to how the police work during demonstrations,
but not at the same meeting obviously.

At one meeting we looked deeply into the topic
of masculinity and on another, we were visited
by a professor from National Defence College who
spoke about the history of air bombing. In addition,
of course, some party, where the annual meeting
at Hedemora, the Christmas party and the year-end
at Utö, was really memorable occasions.
The Brunkeberg Ball
The Brunkeberg ball in October was certainly a
party that exceeded my expectations. Quite amazing
to stand in the midst of all the happy guests
and partying until the wee hours! And just as
fantastic that thanks to generous sponsors and
guests to donate over 41 000 SEK for Father's
& moms in the city - making change for many
teenagers in the city. Thank you everyone who
was there! We do it again next fall, right? Apply

RT70 international tabling
Other things to rejoice in is that we have many
who travelled away to some major events to be
held in the Round Table in Sweden and abroad.
I refer of course to RT Ski Weekend in January,
the AGM in Jönköping and the fabulous
Euromeeting in Lüneburg, Germany. Everybody
in the club has attended at least one of these
meetings, and several have been at all. Impressive!
It has also been fun that we had many guests during
the year and that we as a result have been able
to welcome four new members to RT70 Stockholm
Brunkeberg. Not quite as funny, but in accordance
with the age rule, is that the five boys who turned
40 is now leaving the club and join the ranks
of the crowd called Old Tablers or Past Members.
Thanks Christian, Matthias, Patrik, Lars and Peter
for everything you done for RT70 during your time
as active tablers! You all know that attendance
at the Christmas party is still compulsory...
And with this I would like to wish everyone a
great summer with lots of sun and swimming, hot
barbecues and cold cocktails. Rainfall only on
own potatoe and on the neighbor's dry hay.
My best wishes to next year's Chairman Niklas
Johannesson, who now takes over the baton and
captains hat. The Experience Factory is now taking
a summer break. See you again in the fall, and
then, we have yet another Brunkebergs ball to
look forward to!
Yours in Table!
